​The Bible tells us that there is one true God and that He is holy and the creator of all things. Because of His holiness, God will hold mankind accountable for their actions. 

“For he (God) has set a day when he will judge the world …” (Acts 17:31)

That coming judgment is not good news though. You see, everyone has sinned and will be held accountable. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

​The penalty for our sin is death, which is eternal separation from God. “For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)

​But, there is good news. The Bible tells us that God loves us and sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die in our place.

​“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16)

​God calls on everyone to turn from their sins (repent) and to accept what Jesus Christ did on their behalf. "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out…” (Acts 3:19) 
​
Jesus also calls on us to surrender ourselves totally to Him. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34)
